John Nobile's SummerSwing Orchestra, a Hunterdon County, New Jersey based swing band, has recently completed a successful engagement at the Rainbow Room in New York City's Rockfeller Center. The Rainbow Room is located on the 65th floor of the Rockfeller Center building, and is noted as having hosted such top-name bands as the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Benny Goodman's Orchestra, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Count Basie and his Orchestra, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

John Nobile's SummerSwing Orchestra is a seventeen piece orchestra, playing the big-band sounds of the Swing Era. Featured with the band is vocalist Michelle Wiley. The band has played at local establishments including The Nassau Inn, Rhythms in the Night, and The Red Wood Inn, and has performed at numerous concerts such as Hunterdon County's "Music Under the Stars" concert series, and Somerville's Friday Night Summer Concerts.

John Nobile's SummerSwing Orchestra's next local performance will be on Saturday, May 24th from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.at the Indigo Ballroom, 17 Division Street, Somerville, NJ. Call (908) 218-9418 for more information.
